"Christ himself declared that he was marked with his Father's seal. Christians are also marked with a seal... This seal of the Holy Spirit marks our total belonging to Christ, our enrollment in his service for ever, as well as the promise of divine protection..."
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1296
Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of initiation. It completes what was begun at Baptism and bestows the character of Christ on the one confirmed. Through this sacrament, we are given the seal of the Holy Spirit to strengthen us in living out a life of faith.
To receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, Archdiocesan standards state you must be in, at least, 11th grade and attend sacramental preparation at the parish. This process includes parish and community service, regular classes, and retreats. See a complete overview of the Confirmation program here. For more information contact Sarah at the parish office: (262) 968-2276 or via email.
Adults who are interested in receiving the sacrament of Confirmation are asked to attend a 6-week class to prepare. Spouses are welcome to attend these classes with you, too! Confirmation can be received at the Easter Vigil Mass or on Pentecost Sunday. If you are an adult who is interested in receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, please contact Mary at the parish office: (262) 968-2276 or via email.
