Many Catholic Mothers carry deep concern about their children’s faith. Whether praying for strength as their children face life’s struggles or longing for them to return to the Catholic Church, these mothers turn to St. Monica – the patron saint of mothers for guidance and hope.
When Monica was struggling with her son Augustine she reached out to Ambrose, the Bishop of Milan and begged him to intervene with Augustine. Recognizing her deep distress and unwavering devotion, Ambrose offered her a different approach. He famously told her, “Speak less to Augustine about God and more to God about Augustine.”
Inspired by St. Monica’s devotion, Millions of Monicas is a growing movement of women who gather at St. Paul’s monthly to pray for our children and loved ones that have strayed from the church.
Please join us on the 3rd Monday of every month at 6:30 to encounter God through prayer for ourselves and our children; to grow in holiness and humility. For more information contact Kris Kelm at [email protected].
