How to Become Catholic "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of age." Matthew 28: 19-20
If you are interested in discovering what God has in store for you through the Catholic Church, consider joining OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults). Attending OCIA is a time for you to ask questions, grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ, and prepare to be welcomed into the Church he founded. OCIA is also for those adults who are returning to the Church and seeking the sacrament of Confirmation. Whatever your background or previous spiritual journey, OCIA has a path for you. We would love to walk with you on your journey of faith!
Throughout this process you will:
Attend sessions where you will learn the richness of the teachings of Christ through the Scriptures and Traditions of the Church
Be presented to our parish community in a Rite of Welcome, so our family can pray for you, and then be presented to the Archbishop at the Rite of Election.
Be on this journey with support! We'll help you choose a sponsor, someone to walk with you as you discover, question, and pray about receiving the Sacraments at Easter.
Receive the Sacraments of Initiation - Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil Mass.
Come and see! Register here to join OCIA for the 2025-2026 year.
Introductory session - September 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM St. Paul Catholic Church – Family Room
